Ruth Abiola Adimula

CEO/Chairperson WOCWI

Dr. Ruth Abiola Adimula obtained her Ph.D in Peace and Development Studies in 2014, LL.M 2004 (Obafemi Awolowo University) and LL.B in 1992 (ABU, Zaria). She was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1993. Her area of research include Law, Gender, Internally Displaced Persons and Refugees in West Africa. She holds a Certificate of Harvard University, USA in Child Protection (2020).

She is a Lecturer at Centre for Peace and Strategic Studies, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria; the Immediate Past Director of Centre for Peace and Security Studies, Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Principal Partner of Biola Adimula & Co., a firm of Legal Practitioners established since 1995, a Rotary Peace Fellow (Class 23) Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand (2017). Dr. Adimula was a Faculty/Guest Lecturer in September, 2020 at the National Institute for Security Studies (NISS), Abuja and an External Examiner in 2020 and 2021. In February 2018 she was a Faculty Lecturer at the University of the Incarnate Words, San Antonio, Texas. She was also in Murray State University Kentucky and Trinity University Texas, USA as Guest Lecturer (2018). Between April and June, 2021, she served as a member of the Team of Experts- Review Committee and also the Validation team at Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Centre, Jaji, Nigeria, on Piracy in the Gulf (UNDP Project).

Dr. Adimula is a Fellow and a Distinguished Council Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. Prior, she served as Pioneer Regional Chairperson of Society of Women in Taxation (SWIT), West Africa and the 4th National Chairperson SWIT Nigeria with unprecedented achievements. Dr. Adimula is the immediate Past President of Commonwealth Scholars and Fellows Alumni Association, Nigeria (COSFAN) and the Secretary, Board of Trustees of COSFAN; Immediate Past National Publicity Secretary, Society for Peace Studies and Practice, Nigeria; Peace Ambassador, Institute for Economics and Peace, Sydney(2018) and a Member (Assessor) Association of Commonwealth Universities Grant Selection Panel, London, United Kingdom.

She served as a Consultant, Senate Committee on Constitutional Review of Federal Republic of Nigeria (2016-2019); Council Member, International Bar Association London, (2010-2012); an Awardee of the International Bar Association, 2008; served as National Executive Committee and Council Member in different Committees and Fora of the Nigerian Bar Association, between 1997 and present; a Member and Trainee of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, London, 2010. In 2006, she served as a member of Review Committee of ECOWAS Youth Policy in West Africa; a member of the Review Committee of (Nigeria) National Gender Policy in 2014; and a Consultant to UNICEF on Child Rights, 2005. She served as the Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Kwara State on Women Affairs, between 2013 & 2015 and also as Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Kwara State on Women Affairs (2018-2019).

She is the Chairperson and CEO Board of Trustees of Women and Child Watch Initiatives (NGO) and she is passionate about protecting and defending the rights of women and children, especially on the issues of health, education and social justice. She is a Child rights activist, defender of violence against women and an advocate of social justice.

Dr. Adimula has publications in reputable national and international Journals in her fields of study. She is the Chancellor, Igbomina Diocese, Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion and she is married to a University Don- Prof. Abiodun Adimula and they are blessed with children.

Dr. Catherine Adegoke

Isaac Olagunju is the WOCWI representative in the United States. Isaac is a very diverse business executive with experiences from diverse industries. Prior to founding Clevershoppers Inc. in 2004, Isaac spent 10 years with financial industry leader US Bancorp Inc. (43 billion dollars in market capitalization), four years with UnitedHealth Group, Inc. (41 billion dollars in market capitalization) as well as worked as a business consultant in various industries while employed by Jefferson Wells International. Isaac holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minnesota, and he’s a certified Black Belt in Six Sigma methodology with course work completed for Master Black in Six Sigma certification. He hails from Kwara State.

Barr. Paulet Adokpaye

Paulet is a dynamic, adaptable, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with exposure to a wide range of areas within the Legal Sector and issues impacting on the lives and livelihood of women and the girl-child in Nigeria and the West African region. With over 34 years of academic and professional experience, she is particularly motivated by matters that concern the positive development of women and the girl-child especially as it relates to their improved access to health and healthy living. Paulet holds LL.B of University of Ife (1978), called to the Nigerian Bar (1979), holds LL.M of the University of London (1984). She is presently a Senior Registrar.

Professor Olanrewaju Timothy Adedoyin

Professor Olanrewaju Timothy Adedoyin was born on 17th June 1964. He obtained MBBS (Ilorin) in 1987, FWACP (Paed.) in 1995, Fellow of the International Society of Nephrology (FISN) in 2003, Certificate in Health Planning and Management in 2011. He won the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) fellowship grant in 2002 to pursue Fellowship training in Paediatric Nephrology at the Schneider Children Hospital, New York, USA from August 2002-2003. He is a member of several professional organizations including the Nigerian Association of Nephrology, Paediatric Association of Nigeria and the American Society of Nephrology. He was formerly the Dean, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ilorin, Ilorin and presently the Provost of the College of Medicine, University of Ilorin. He is married and blessed with children.
